Becoming a manager can be a complex role as you are managing an array of tasks, including managing people. This training will provide you with the information and skills necessary to transition smoothly from employee to supervisor, team leader or manager.

 

Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:

ü  Understand your role and responsibilities as a manager

ü  Communicate effectively

ü  Develop skills for communicating with your team

ü  Understand the learning needs of your team

ü  Manage your time for best outcomes

ü  Understand performance management

ü  Understand your duty of care obligations

 

This course is designed for: 

Individuals new to a supervisory or management role, as well as those who have previously advanced from an employee to a management position, but did not receive any transitional training.

 

Duration:

2 days, 9:00am – 4:30pm (8:45am registration)

 

Learning pathway:

There are no pre-requisites for this course. Upon successful completion of this course, further learning opportunities at CCI include Introduction to Supervision Part 2: Pathway to Leadership.

 

What will I need to bring?

Just yourself. CCI will supply all course materials for you to confidently complete your training.

 

Catering:

CCI will also supply morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch with one of our preferred restaurants.
