Helping Business Work – WA Election 2017

Your vote in the March 2017 state election will be one of the most important in a generation. With rising unemployment, record state debt and a rapidly-changing economy, WA businesses are coming together to call on the major parties to help business grow and create jobs. We want a government who will Help Business Work.

The business community’s three messages for all political parties is:

  • Payroll tax is a tax on jobs that stunts growth and employment  – the threshold must be increased before finally being abolished;
  • Retail trading hours must be set free – business owners and shoppers should make their own choices about when and what they buy or sell; and
  • WA needs a State Infrastructure Plan to give business the certainty they need to create local jobs.

These three steps will bring Western Australia closer to being a world-leading place to live and do business – a vision CCI has long held for the state. For a more details, please visit the links below.
