Workforce Development Services

CCI Workforce Development Services provides advice, information and resources to members on how to maximise their workforce capabilities. We also work to connect businesses to the education system to ensure we are all working together to better develop our workforce of the future. To support these functions the team advocates to Governments on improving policies to achieve better education and workforce outcomes for Western Australia. 

What do we do?

Workforce Development Advice
We have a team of advisers to assist businesses identify workforce development strategies, connect with university graduates and provide advice and information on the education and training system.

Education projects
We believe that the business community has a strong role to play in working with the education sector. Through our voluntary Education Development Fund, members can make voluntary annual contributions, which enable us to deliver a range of initiatives aimed at developing the workforce of the future.

Work Integrated Learning
We are helping to promote Work Integrated Learning and make it easy for employers to arrange placements for WA’s business undergraduates. 

Workforce policy
On behalf of members, we develop and advocate policy positions across a broad range of workforce issues including education, training, migration and participation.  

Resources and tools
An array of employer and student focused resources to assist with career development and workforce employment practices.

Give it a Go!
This pilot aims to help CCI members and employers connect with enthusiastic and motivated young job seekers to fill their vacant roles; and provide an opportunity for a young person to kick off their career.

Power Engineering Graduate Program
Driven by Horizon Power, this three-year graduate program is designed to train the next generation of Power Engineers using a collaborative approach involving multiple Host Companies.

Indigenous Employment
CCI is committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, and make the commitment a reality in the following ways

An online portal for students with downloadable graduate guides and information on graduate programs and Work Integrated Learning.
