How would you describe your role at CCIWA?
I work as a lawyer and Nationally Accredited Mediator in the Workplace Relations Team at CCIWA. In my role as a lawyer, I work with employers to ensure they are meeting their obligations within the complex workplace relations system we have in Australia. In my capacity as a mediator, I work to help parties find their own solutions to disputes, which often results in achieving a better result for everyone involved.
What does a typical day look like?
Meeting up with parties to mediate disputes and better understand their interests and connecting with clients to assist them in navigating the complex employment system that we have in Australia.

What’s your most memorable achievement at work?
Finding my calling in mediation and being asked to assist the Mediation clinic at UWA, in running their training, and accrediting new mediators. This has been a journey in discovering what I love and what I am good at.

Who inspires you?
My dad inspires me, as I have seen him grow his own business and I know from him and my work the risks and challenges involved in running your own business.
