How would you describe your role at CCIWA?

I’m responsible for creating and managing our digital and blended learning solutions to perfectly suit WA business needs. I get to work with all of the different business units and clients at CCIWA to create contemporary services that make us unique.

What does a typical day look like?

After a cup of coffee or two, my day is focused on speaking with clients to design, create and deliver the perfect learning solution for their team. This will often involve shooting videos, recording voice overs, designing graphics, conducting research and so much more!

Never assume something must continue being done as it always has, instead ask ‘why’ is it being done like this and ‘what’ can we do better?

What’s the most exciting part of your job?

The most exciting part of my job is being able to deliver the right learning solution for any client, in any situation while getting to show them the numerous modern and engaging tools that CCIWA has available, then seeing the excitement in their faces when they realise what’s possible.

What’s your most memorable achievement at work?

One of the big achievements we have seen in Learning Solutions is the total overhaul of our prestigious Industrial Relations Masterclass. Being given the freedom to take an already outstanding course and transform it into something that takes advantage of what’s available to us in 2022 was very impactful.

Best career advice you’ve ever received?

Never assume something must continue being done as it always has, instead ask ‘why’ is it being done like this and ‘what’ can we do better?

Who inspires you?

Professionally, my Dad has always been my work role model and inspiration. He carved out a successful life through challenging work, and long-term commitment to an employer back in a time when the qualifications someone held on a piece of paper meant less than the actual experiences they held.
