The Industrial Training Institute (ITI) has several initiatives in the pipeline. Watch this space for the following courses we may have in operation soon.

Engineering, Industrial Electrician

This qualification provides competencies in the ability to select, set up and install, test, fault-find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in buildings and industrial environments, including oil/gas installations, mine sites, processing plants and the like.

The qualification covers the Essential Performance Capabilities as required by electrical regulators and includes a capstone assessment.

Electrical Fitting

This qualification provides competencies to manufacture, fit, assemble, erect, operate, test, fault find, alter, repair electrical equipment and includes electrical wiring work only if that work is associated with assembling, maintaining, terminating or altering the wiring between various electrical components.

Electrical Instrumentation, Online

This will enable students to undertake self-paced blended learning through online assessments, with written resources at their fingertips. Once the online component has been successfully completed, students will attend a two-week face-to-face delivery block for practical assessments.

This qualification, which is currently on our scope at ITI (not online) provides training, skills and knowledge to install, commission, calibrate and maintain instrumentation/control systems (including pressure, level, density, flow, temperature, fault finding and analysis).
