WA construction industry’s most high-profile event draws near

Known as the ‘night of all nights’ in WA’s construction sector, CCIWA’s annual Construction Industry Dinner is approaching and tickets close this Friday, June 16.

Few business events in WA have a history as rich as the Construction Industry Dinner, with 30 years of bringing together leaders and representatives from the construction, resources and mining sectors.

The glamorous dinner is held at Perth’s premium venue, Crown Towers, on Thursday, June 22.

As well as being an exclusive networking opportunity for businesses, it is also a celebration in style of the State’s booming construction industry and the various industries it supports, which have a crucial role in WA’s economy.

“This is an unparalleled opportunity to network and rub shoulders with your clients, competitors and future partners,” says Daniel Lee, Head of CCIWA’s Construction and Mining Services.

“It is a chance to celebrate the success of the past year and look for your next big business deals for the coming year.”

The evening is hosted by former West Coast Eagles Player turned Senior Sports Reporter and Presenter Adrian Barich and guests will hear from headline speaker Leon Ruri, Founder of suicide prevention and wellbeing organisation, Haka For Life.

Ruri brings a refreshing, commanding, authentic presence into any space which inspires, connects and engages people through his lived experience.

His raw honesty and vulnerability in his approach to the world, engages people in ways which disarms anyone. Having travelled in diverse arenas culturally, in professional environments and lived experience of the most serious life challenges, has equipped him to work with large corporate teams, particularly in the FIFO industry.

Guests will also laugh into the evening with Melbourne-based comedian Dilruk Jayasinha and music will be provided by a DJ, coupled with a decadent three-course meal paired with premium wines.

A silent auction adds to the evening’s excitement, with all proceeds being donated to CCIWA’s charity partner Zonta House, a specialist service that provides safety, relief and support for women who have experienced family and domestic violence.

Guests can bid individually or as a group. Bidding closes at 10pm on the event evening and some of the items up for auction include:

  • Signed music memorabilia, including a guitar by Paul McCartney and Ringo Star, and the Rolling Stones
  • Signed sport memorabilia, including a signed Lionel Messi football
  • Overseas and interstate holidays
  • Fine dining experiences

The Construction Industry Dinner is the only event in Perth that brings these industries together for such a prestigious evening. It is dubbed as the ‘night to be seen’ while being among some of WA’s most esteemed business people.
