Como Engineers won WA Exporter of the year, recognised for its innovative modular approach and internationally renowned expertise, servicing several markets including Canada, Senegal, Mongolia, Tanzania, Guinea, Indonesia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea and Türkiye.
The company provides modular plant design, construction and commissioning services for minerals processing in the State.
General Manager of Projects and Engineering Martin Smith said the business was proud to be recognised as a valued exporter in WA.
“It’s a vindication for all the hard work that we’ve been putting in over the decades in exporting from Perth to throughout the world,” he said.
“We design and build the modular plants in WA and we fully assemble and test them before they go overseas.
“It only takes two weeks for the manufacturer to assemble, as opposed to a few months like others. Then it’s ready for a single test, because we already tested it in the workshop, before it’s ready for accepting carbon and pouring gold.”
