Western Australia’s theme for International Day of People with Disability 2025 – Celebrating Our Unity – is a powerful reminder that collaboration is key to building stronger communities and better outcomes for people with disability.
At CCIWA, we are proud to champion diversity and recognise the achievements of people with disability through a range of initiatives, including the Ability Link project, which supports businesses to better understand inclusive employment and accessible workplace practices.

At the event, Disability Services Minister Hannah Beazley announced the launch of the new Disability Employment Network – a collaborative initiative bringing together Disability Assembly WA, the Hospitality Disability Network WA and the Department of Communities WA. The network aims to simplify pathways for employers, strengthen connections across sectors, and create more inclusive hiring opportunities.
“This network will create a stronger, more connected pathway for employers to access support, build confidence and open up meaningful job opportunities for people with disabilities,” said CCIWA Interim Director of Commercial Services Lena Constantine.
CCIWA is excited to work closely with industry, government and community partners to build momentum around inclusive employment – supporting employers to access the right advice, grow their confidence and create workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed.
Stay tuned for more updates as the team brings the Disability Employer Network to life in 2026.
