Will Golsby appointed to lead CCIWA into new era

CCIWA has announced the appointment of Will Golsby as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Will Golsby appointed new CCIWA CEO

Golsby joins CCIWA as a widely respected leader from RAC. During his career he has led strategic advocacy, policy, membership, and business initiatives at the local, state, national and international levels.

Golsby will take up the position of CEO in mid-March, replacing Chief Operating Officer Matt Golds who has served as Acting CEO since June.

CCIWA President Nicki Ivory said Golsby’s appointment marked an exciting new chapter for the organisation.

“Will brings deep expertise in policy, industry advocacy and stakeholder engagement, along with a strong record of leadership and governance across complex organisations in both the public and private sectors,” Ivory said.

“His experience at RAC ensures a strong understanding of what drives successful membership organisations and he brings a genuine passion for making Western Australia the best place to live, work and do business.

“These strengths will be invaluable as CCIWA continues to expand its advocacy and enhance the services and support we provide to WA businesses and stakeholders.”

Golsby said he was energised by the opportunity to represent and champion member businesses of all sizes across every sector of the WA economy.

“CCIWA has a proud of history of working to make Western Australia a world-class place to live and run a business and plays a pivotal role in shaping the State’s economic future. I’m excited to join the team and contribute to that mission,” he said.

“There are tremendous opportunities, and I look forward to working closely with CCIWA’s Members and stakeholders to drive meaningful outcomes for the business community.

“Our focus will be on strengthening our advocacy, as well as expanding and delivering benefits and services that support a resilient, competitive and prosperous future for every member enterprise that calls Western Australia home.”

He will start in the role on March 16.

Ivory thanked Chief Operating Officer, Matt Golds, for his leadership as Acting CEO in recent months.

“Matt has provided strong and steady leadership during his time as Acting CEO and will continue to play a key role in our organisation,” she said.
