Course Description
From 1 July 2024, the new Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 will come into effect in WA. It will impact all stakeholders throughout the Workers Compensation system. The system has been entirely overhauled and modernised.

Learning outcomes
Despite some previous system components being maintained, there is a sweeping range of changes and new obligations. We have designed a full day training program that will:
- Ensure businesses understand their obligations under the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act and Regulations
- Outline key system changes and updates
- Give an overview of the scheme function and structure across the lifespan of a business operations
- Walk through return to work and injury management process
- Provide assistance for undertaking modification of business processes
The training focuses on the use of case studies and group-based tasks to assist Supervisors, HR and WHS Professionals in practical day-to-day application of the content covered in the session.
