COVID-19 Vaccination Guides & Templates

CCIWA has released two updated guides for businesses on WA’s mandatory vaccines.

These important guides will help you understand your obligations under the State Government’s orders, and what steps you should take to ensure you and your business are protected from penalties. One guide is for employees in Groups 1 and 2; the other is for employees in Group 3.

Business Guides to Vaccinations

We’ve also released letter templates for you to deal with employees who are refusing to be vaccinated or to confirm they’re vaccinated — one to show cause, one for termination procedures.

Most of WA’s workforce is now required to be vaccinated to attend the workplace.

People in Group 1 industries and occupations must have received their first dose by December 1, 2021, and be fully vaccinated by December 31, 2021.

People in Group 2 industries and occupations must have received their first dose by December 31, 2021, and be fully vaccinated by January 31, 2022.

Employees in Group 3 are required to be fully vaccinated to attend work in the event of a lockdown or similar restrictions.

Our guides answer your questions, such as:

  • Do my workers need to be vaccinated?
  • What proof should I ask for, and what records do I have to keep?
  • What if my staff refuse to be vaccinated?

The State Government’s mandates will help to boost our State’s COVID vaccination rate above 80 per cent. This is the point at which Premier McGowan has committed to easing the emergency COVID-19 measures.

Preparing to manage workforce loss due to anti-vaccine sentiment

Drawn from pre-release CCIWA Consumer Confidence Survey responses, these results are intended to help inform your planning in terms of workforce impacts on your own workforce, as well as suppliers, contractors and other partners.
