Key dates for business – 2021

The incentive reduces to $1000 a fortnight for tier 1 and $650 for tier 2, depending on the hours worked by employees [/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="January 28"]Q2 2020-21 super guarantee contributions due.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="January 31"]The Australian Tax Office (ATO) is allowing employers until this date to ensure they have paid their employees the correct amounts before claiming JobKeeper payments in their February monthly business declarations.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="January 28"]Businesses must submit their business monthly declaration for the December JobKeeper fortnight, under the JobKeeper rates of $1200 and $750 per fortnight.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="February 1"]Deadline for businesses to submit their JobKeeper 2.0 monthly declaration to the ATO.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="March 28"]JobKeeper ends.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="May 15"]All entities that did not have to lodge earlier (and are not eligible for the June 5 concession*) are required to lodge their 2020 tax returns.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="June 30"]The State Government's Apprenticeship and Traineeship Reengagement Incentive ends.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="June 5"]*Lodge tax return for all entities with a due date of May 15 if the return is not required earlier and a non-taxable or credit assessment has been lodged in the latest year and your business is non-taxable or receiving  a credit assessment in the current year.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="June 30"]The State Government's Apprenticeship and Traineeship Reengagement Incentive ends.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="June 30"]Businesses must lodge their super guarantee contributions by this date to qualify for a tax deduction in the 2020–21 financial year.[/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date="September 30"]The Federal Government's $1.2b wage subsidy for new trainees and apprentices ends.[/mvc_timeline_son][/mvc_timeline_father]
