Headlined by the Ford Mustang Mach-E (electric vehicle), recently launched in Australia, CCIWA’s ‘Driving the WA-USA Relationship’ event will showcase the strength of the bilateral relationship and highlight opportunities for WA businesses.

Held on Wednesday, April 24 at Titan Ford, Melville, the event will bring together business leaders to celebrate the economic ties between WA and the US.

“This is an opportunity for WA businesses to understand the great potential that doing trade with the US offers,” says Michael Carter, Head of CCIWA’s International Trade and Investment Centre.

WA is the USA’s sixth largest trading partner, with $9.2 billion worth of goods exchanged in 2022-23.

“The new Mustang E-Mach will be on display, signifying the growing interest the US has in WA around critical minerals for the energy transition,” Carter says.

“This new Ford Mustang is a prime example of American innovation in the EV sector, which is particularly relevant for our State given our bedrock of critical minerals and resources.

“Attendees will also gain an in-depth understanding of how the WA-USA relationship is building in the areas of energy security and defence collaboration.”

The event also offers the opportunity to connect with businesses who already do business in the US or are seeking to.

“The US can be a difficult market to break into because it is fiercely competitive, so hearing from others who have walked the path before can be extremely valuable,” Carter says.
