Privacy Policy

If your business collects personal information of any kind, it is important that you set out and disclose to customers how you intend to protect the privacy of their information.

Businesses that have an annual turnover of $3 million or more must have a privacy policy in place under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. But regardless of the size of your business, having a privacy policy is good practice and promotes consumer confidence.

Our Privacy Policy is clear, concise and can be customised based on:

  1. The type of personal information the business collects;
  2. How personal information is collected;
  3. What is done with the collected personal information; and
  4. Storage of and access to personal information.

If your business is a global organisation and works with clients, and service providers or has other commercial interests outside of Australia, the Privacy Policy will be tailored to ensure it complies with specific laws. Please consult our Commercial Legal team.

With the proposed removal of the small business exemption under the Privacy Act 1988, businesses can proactively obtain a privacy policy to prepare for the changes. Our Privacy Policy will assist businesses to stay ahead. If you require a bespoke policy, please contact the Commercial Legal team.
