CCIWA – Jackson McDonald partnership to bolster Member resources

This week saw the launch of a new partnership between CCIWA and Jackson McDonald to provide further commercial, corporate and dispute legal support to CCIWA Members.

In addition to expert business resources, workshops and advice from the Employee Relations Advice Centre, CCIWA Members will now be able to access a 15 minute call with a Jackson McDonald lawyer.

A referral from CCIWA will enable Members to gain additional advice on corporate governance, contracting, procurement, financing, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising tax issues, leasing and property issues, debt recovery court related matters and alternative dispute resolution over the Jackson McDonald hotline.

CEO Chris Rodwell said it was one more way in which CCIWA is delivering new and updated resources to Members.

“As the State’s peak business group, WA businesses look to us to provide the best insight and expertise to manage these challenging times,” he said.

“We are working hard to continuously update the resources we offer to our Members, including through over 3,000 consultations by our Employment Relations Advice Centre in recent weeks.

This partnership with Jackson McDonald will provide our Members with an additional source of trusted advice, and we look forward to working together.”

Jackson McDonald Partner Luke Paterson said that businesses are working hard to navigate the COVID-19 challenge.

“It’s not business as usual and we’re working with our clients to help them respond. Whether it’s refinancing, dealing with liquidity challenges, compliance, corporate issues, procurement or funding innovation and growth, we are looking forward to assisting CCIWA’s Members.”

Jackson McDonald Partner Alex Lustig said it’s never been more important for businesses to understand contractual obligations.

The free 15-minute consultation will be available to Members who are referred by CCIWA.
